We arrived at the gorgeous lodge, the place really is beautiful and the rooms are stunning and spacious. Unfortunately on a rainy day there is not much to do, and we were not able to do a game drive. As we had heard lots of good things about the food, we were excited for dinner. Unfortunately that was also a disappointment and ended with a runny and split Creme Brule.

The most relaxing place to unwind and experience absolute peace and relaxation while being treated like royalty... Our expectations were exceeded. We decided to celebrate our anniversary at the breathtakingly beautiful Kilima. Kilima is a gem hidden in the mountains of our beautiful Limpopo province with 6 star staff experience!

This was by far one of the best places I've visited. The hospitality was amazing, food and service. Will definitely visit and recommend. The rooms was cozy with an amazing view. Location for me was perfect and all in all I will definitely be visiting soon!

Great property that still needs to grow into its tourist role. The staff, amenities and service is top class. As it is still quite a drive to the Kruger Park, the game experience needs to grow some more.

We filmed six episodes of a TV series in January 2023 at Kilima and wrapped on schedule, a big thank you to the owners, management and staff for making this possible and for taking such good care of us.

Excellent service! The staff went out of their way to ensure that my family and I were well taken care of. Great value for money. Beautiful location. The reserve is peaceful and the animal sightings added to an overall amazing experience!

Chef Edward rude, defensive and underrate the property’s black guests. All this is based on his response he gave me as a black woman with her two black daughters. He even suggested that he doesn’t have most of the items (over December holidays) on the menu because the lodge is in the bush. What nonsense is that - he looked at me and made his judgements hence he provided all stupid reasons why 50% of the items in the menu were not there over the December holidays! The entire menu had only 50% of the items while he knew from the bookings that there would be guest staying over. His attitude for me gives the lodge a bad name. A full springbok Chef! The rest was very good, from the spa service, Ria, the guys at the bar gave us 5 star and it went down the drain when we wanted to understand why 50% of items on the menu were not available. He walked towards us with such attitude and he left very angry! He didn’t take my opinion well and I know this one will be disregarded too!

The venue and location was beautiful. Andries and the Assistant GM made our stay a memorable and pleasurable one. The food was of a good quality and really nice. Our Anniversary night dinner was beautifully put together and we had a great time. On the negative side, there were limited items available on the menu. Out of the 8 starters only 3 were available. Even Dinner and Dessert items that were listed on the menu were not all available. The part I disliked the most was the limited time given to have breakfast 7-9am, lunch I think was 12-2pm and dinner 6-9pm. For a 5 star establishment this is absolutely ridiculous. When you are meant to be resting and enjoying your holiday, you have to stress about getting to the restaurant before the kitchen closes. We actually had very few meals there as a result and chose to drive out and eat elsewhere where we didn't have to eat between certain timelines.
