Chef Edward rude, defensive and underrate the property’s black guests. All this is based on his response he gave me as a black woman with her two black daughters. He even suggested that he doesn’t have most of the items (over December holidays) on the menu because the lodge is in the bush. What nonsense is that - he looked at me and made his judgements hence he provided all stupid reasons why 50% of the items in the menu were not there over the December holidays! The entire menu had only 50% of the items while he knew from the bookings that there would be guest staying over. His attitude for me gives the lodge a bad name. A full springbok Chef! The rest was very good, from the spa service, Ria, the guys at the bar gave us 5 star and it went down the drain when we wanted to understand why 50% of items on the menu were not available. He walked towards us with such attitude and he left very angry! He didn’t take my opinion well and I know this one will be disregarded too!
